Billy Shows is Retiring

The team at the Essmueller Company is wishing a very fond farewell to one of our own. Billy Shows, our Director of Purchasing, has put away his order pad, retiring at 2025’s end.

After nearly 40 years of dedicated service, Billy leaves behind a legacy of integrity, reliability, and genuine care for the people he worked with every day. Billy’s steady leadership, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to help others made him a trusted colleague and friend to many. His impact goes far beyond purchasing—it’s felt in the relationships he built and the example he set.

Billy joined our team in the spring of 1987 and has been an integral part of our business’s success over the last almost four decades. Riding herd over the complicated needs of our sales staff, he always makes it happen, with a smile and good cheer. If you have been fortunate enough to know Billy, you know he is a true Southern Gentleman.

Billy is looking forward to more time with his wife and their grandkids, not to mention some serious attention to his garden.

We are deeply grateful for Billy’s four decades of commitment and wish him happiness, good health, and many well-earned adventures in retirement.
